US humourist visits in July

American humourist David Sedaris has announced a short UK tour.

The bestselling author and star of Radio 4 series Meet David Sedaris will play ten dates starting on July 10 at Cardiff St. David’s Hall.

The tour supports his next book launch, an anthology of essays entitled Calypso that comes out in June.

Sedaris has been nominated for three Grammy Awards  and his pieces appear regularly in The New Yorker magazine.

His dates – all in July – are:

Friday 13^: Glasgow Royal Concert Hall

Saturday 14^: Liverpool Philharmonic Hall

Monday 16^: York Barbican 

Tuesday 17^: Newcastle Tyne Theatre

Thursday 19^: Nottingham Royal Concert Hall

Friday 20^: Bexhill De La Warr Pavilion
