Elvis Dead creator dominates Midlands Comedy Awards
The creator of cult Edinburgh hit The Elvis Dead leads the nominations in this year’s Midlands Comedy Awards.
Rob Kemp has been shortlisted in six of the ten categories. They are: best act, best mc, breakthrough act, alternative act and best live show and best open mic show for the Anarchy he runs in Willenhall, near Walsall
For best act, he’ll be facing off against big names like Joe Lycett, Tom Binns, Luisa Omielan as well as other circuit acts.
Finalists for Midlands Comedy Awards were chosen by a secret ballot of comedy promoters and comedy performers, with the final decision in the hands of public voters, but pulls haven’t opened yet.
The winners will be announced on December 4.
