Little Britain comic guest stars

Ruth Jones is to reunite with Matt Lucas in the new series of Stella.

The pair appeared Little Britain’s 'only gay in the village’ sketches with Jones playing barmaid Myfanwy to Lucas’ Daffyd 

‘He's in episode one,’ Jones revealed on ITV's Lorraine this morning. ‘I was over the moon when he said he'd do the show because Matt Lucas is such a gorgeous man. 

‘I think his mum loves Stella, which might have swayed. But it was so lovely to have him back. It's nice to catch up with people when you haven't seen them in a few years.’

Jones also ‘definitely, definitely, definitely’ ruled out any return of Gavin & Stacey, which she co-created with James Corden.

The sixth and probably penultimate series of Stella starts on Sky1 at 9pm tonight.
