Awards rain down on the Kagools
The Kagools have won the Amused Moose Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Fringe
The double act comprises Claire Ford and Nicola Wilkinson, who performed their first full-length show – based on spontaneous wordless, but nor silent, comedy – in 2014.
This year’s show, Tutti, is on at Just The Tonic at The Caves and previously won best comedy show gongs at this year’s Adelaide Fringe and last year’s Buxton Fringe.
Also at the Amused Moose final, Rob Kemp won a separate outstanding show award for his cult hit The Elvis Dead, which reimagines Sam Raini’s Evil Dead 2 to the tunes of Elvis Presley.
And Ian Smith won a people’s choice award for his stand-up show Snowflake.
And the overall winner is... The Kagools – Claire Ford and Nicola Wilkinson.
The awards seeks the best shows by ‘relatively unknown performers’, with extracts from a shortlisted ten shows performed at a final today, hosted by Marc Dolan

- Bec Hill: Out Of Order
- Harriet Braine: Total Eclipse Of The Art
- Lauren Pattison: Lady Muck

- The One And Only Chris Martin
The winners will appear in a showcase at Soho Theatre in October.
