Birds Of A Feather gets another Christmas special
Birds Of A Feather is to return for a new Christmas special, star Lesley Joseph has revealed.
The actress let the news slip when she appeared on ITV's This Morning today.
When asked if more episodes of the sitcom were in the pipeline, she said: 'I can't possibly say.'
But when pressed about whether there would be a festive special, she said: 'Oh yes', before trying to move on.
Host Rylan Clark-Neal, a big fan of the comedy, shrieked: 'Are you actually?'
Joseph misheard, answering: 'Yes, I am acting in it' – hastily adding: 'If we do one.'
After the show, Joseph tweeted her exchange, with the message '#BOAF is coming back' – prompting co-creator Maurice Gran to quip: "Well I could have told you that."
Rylan: Are you doing a Christmas Special?

She added that 'Birds of a Feather Christmas Special is set to be officially confirmed by ITV late next week' – which would coincide with the Edinburgh International Television Festival.
The last series was broadcast in 2015, with an extended-length Christmas special last year.
