Limmy plans a new sketch show
Limmy is set to launch a new half-hour sketch comedy show.
The Glaswegian comedian has turned to crowdfunding to finance the monthly episodes, which will be released online.
So far, almost 700 people have signed up, which means he will generate almost £3,000 for each episode of Limmy’s Homemade Show.
Launching the project on Patreon, the comic said he would eventually release each episode on YouTube – but those who pay $2 (£1.54) a month would get them several weeks earlier.
Fans making bigger contributions will be able to access longer edits of the sketch or behind-the-scenes footage.
The comedian, whose real name is Brian Limmond, has previously said he had no plans to return to Limmy's Show, which has aired on BBC Scotland, Netflix and Gold and scooped two Scottish Baftas.
He has recently turned to writing short stories, with his second anthology, That’s Your Lot, released earlier this year.
