Johnny Vegas does panto
Johnny Vegas is to appear in pantomime.
The comic is to star in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs at the Theatre Royal in his home town of St Helens this Christmas.
But he won’t be there in person, pre-recording his role as the Magic Mirror, who reveals ‘who is the fairest of them all’.
Vegas said: ‘I don't know about this Snow White being the fairest, I thought I was the fairest of them all? I'll have to Have a Word with her and put her in her place…
‘I'm coming home St Helens. You'll get to see my beautiful face every night via the power of projection.’
Coronation Street actress Lucy Jo Hudson plays Snow White and the theatre’s resident Dame Simon Foster returns to take on the role of the Wicked Queen.
Theatre Royal manager Chantelle Nolan, said: ‘Johnny Vegas is a hugely popular household name and it is great that he is coming back to his roots and coming home to St Helens - even if he won't be physically on stage every night, it is fantastic to have him involved’
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs runs from Saturday December 2 until Sunday January 7.
