INFINITE MONKEY CAGE: Brian Cox and Robin Ince return for a new series of the science/comedy show. One of the guests this week is Eric Idle, composer of the show’s theme tune ( though he’s probably done other things too), as a panel discuss Cox’s speciality, particle physics. Other comics joining the show in future weeks include Sara Pascoe, Dane Baptiste and Katy Brand. Radio 4, 4.30pm

MEET DAVID SEDARIS: The US humourist returns for a new series of witty, keenly-observed and often satirical stories, including extracts from his book Theft By Finding, a compilation of diary entries. Radio 4, 6.30pm

Wednesday July 5

THE WINDSORS: The Royal Family’s life as a lavish soap opera? As if! The outlandish comedy returns for a second series, introducing Donald Trump and Theresa May. Returning cast include Harry Enfield as Prince Charles, Haydn Gwynne as Camilla, Hugh Skinner as Wills, Louise Ford as Kate and Morgana Robinson as Pippa. Channel 4, 10pm

 

Saturday July 8

THE Penny Dreadfuls PRESENT: LE CARRE ON SPYING: The sketch group’s latest romp takes place in 1960s Berlin and guest stars Miles Jupp as David Cornwell (the real name of spy-turned-novelist John Le Carré) who tries to uncover the latest mole in the secret service before John F Kennedy's official visit. The Penny Dreadfuls are Humphrey Ker, David Reed, Thom Tuck and ‘honorary Dreadful’ Margaret Cabourn-Smith. Radio 4, 2.30pm
