Sarah Millican has been announced for one-off show at the Edinburgh Fringe. She is to perform stand-up as part of an hour-long fundraiser for the Leicester Comedy Festival, which this year lost its sponsorship from TV channel Dave, to be held at the Underbelly on August 16. She had previously announced two other Fringe appearances in aid of her online women's magazine, Standard Issue, performing stand-up as part of another line-up show on the 16th and heading an 'in conversation with' event on the 15th, both at The Stand.

THE Leicester Square Theatre is to stage what’s being billed as the first stand-up show to be performed in both Arabic and English in the UK. 5 Egyptians, A Pakistani, An Indian And A Jew will feature Egyptian comics from Al Hezb El Comedy, who will perform in their native tongue in the first half, with the second half given over to British acts including Anil Desai, Sajeela Kershi and Josh Howie. ENTRIES have opened for this year’s Comedy Poster Awards at the Edinburgh Fringe.
