Who's on Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central
The line-up of guest comics for the second series of Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central has been announced.
Ten episodes of the show, filmed at Camden’s Electric Ballroom, will return to Comedy Central from May.
Stand-ups taking part include James Acaster, Jimmy Carr, Bridget Christie , Ed Gamble, Josie Long, Joe Lycett, Chris Ramsey, Isy Suttie, Tommy Tiernam, Seann Walsh, Rhys James and BBC New Comedy Award winner Yuriko Kotani.
Made by the TV production arm of Howard’s agents Avalon, the first series was a ratings hit for Comedy Central, attracting more than double the average audience for its slot. The shows feature the guest slots along Howard’s own stand-up, as well as him answering audience questions.
Series two follows the tenth series of Russell Howard’s Good News, which aired on BBC Two late last year.
Howard has also announced an international tour, Round the World, for 2017, his first since 2014’s Wonderbox, which includes ten nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall and shows in a further 29 cities including New York, Sydney and Gothenburg.
