Amy Poehler vs Jimmy Carter
Amy Poehler is facing up against former President Jimmy Carter in this year's Grammy Awards.
Both the fictional and the real politican have been nominated for best spoken word album in the leading music industry awards, which will be announced on February 15.
Parks and Recreation star Poehler is shortlisted for the audiobook version of her debut Yes Please, while 91-year-old Carter – who yesterday announced he was cancer-free following treatment for brain tumours – is honoured for his memoirs A Full Life: Reflections at Ninety.
Also shortlisted in the same category are musician Patti Smith for her reading of Jo Nesbo's novel Blood on Snow; former talk sow host Dick Cavett for Brief Encounters: Conversations, Magic Moments, And Assorted Hijinks, and Isabel Miller's historical novel Patience and Sarah, read by Janis Ian and Jean Smart.
