Their scripts don't stink
Veep, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Amy Schumer, The Last Man On Earth and Saturday Night Live have each picked up two nominated in the Writers’ Guild Of America Award.
The shortlists across all genres have been dominated by cable and streaming shows, with only one traditional network show up for any of the prestigious categories of drama, comedy and new series: Fox’s The Last Man On Earth. The comedy is shown on Dave in the UK.
The Simpsons also scored highly, scooping three of the six nominations in the animation category, which is awarded to an individual episode.
