Appearing alongside Katherine Ryan

Joel Dommett has joined the team of Sky 1's new music and comedy show Bring The Noise.

The stand-up will be a regular panelist on the show, which will be chaired by Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson in his first TV hosting role.

As previously announced, fellow comic Katherine Ryan will also be a regular, under team captain Tinie Tempah. Dommett's captain will be Nicole Scherzinger.

Guests lined up to appear in the eight-part series include David Tennant, Laurence Fox, Game of Thrones star John Bradley, Melanie C, Martin Kemp and singer-songwriter Foxes.

Dommett said: 'I am unbelievably thrilled about the prospect of being a regular comedian on Sky1's Bring The Noise.

'I'm sure Nicole Scherzinger is equally as excited at sitting next to me, as I am to her. I have fancied her for so long I know how to spell her name correctly.

'Our pretend enemies are the cool/sexy/funny combo of Tinie Tempah and Katherine Ryan. I'm hoping some of those attributes rub off on me. And of course, it's all held together by the excellent charms of Ricky Wilson. I predict a riot (the good kind).'

Dommett's previous TV jobs include a recurring role in E4's Skins as DC Sweeney, the BBC Two sitcom Popatron, and Comedy Central's hidden camera show Impractical Jokers UK. He also hosted Live in Chelsea, a live discussion show revolving around reality show Made in Chelsea, made for the internet.

Bring The Noise, produced by Twenty Six 03, begins on October 22.
