Rhod Gilbert last night won the Welsh Bafta award for best presenter for the RAF fighter pilot edition of his Work Experience programme which aired on BBC One Wales and BBC Two nationally.

MIRANDA HART has received a £3million payday after winding down her limited company Kingmaker Tours, the Daily Record has reported. She has two other companies – King Bert Productions and Kingmaker Productions.

LONDON comedy club Downstairs At The Kings Head is to close down for three weeks from tomorrow for a facelift, which includes installing facilities for internet broadcast. The club, in Crouch End, is believed to be Britain's oldest still running in its original home, where it began in October 1981.

AMERICAN musical double act Garfunkel and Oates – aka Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci – are to record their first hour-long TV special next month. The show, which will be taped in Seattle on October 23, comes after their sitcom was cancelled by the IFC network after one season earlier this year.
