C'mere and get a knighthood...
Jimmy Cricket has been knighted by the Pope.
The 69-year-old comedian has been made a Knight of the Order of St Gregory The Great, the highest honour the Catholic Church can bestow.
He posted a picture of the scroll on Twitter last night saying: 'Overjoyed my local priest Fr Joe visited me earlier and handed me this, a papal knighthood for services to charity.'

The Irish-born comedian said he was 'thrilled, humbled and honoured' to be recognised for his charity work.
Previous recipients of the knighthood include Frank Carson, who was honoured in 1987, and boxer Henry Cooper.
Cricket, whose real name is James Joseph Mulgrew, lives in Rochdale. He has four grown-up children including Katie, also a comedian, and Frankie, who was ordained as a priest in 2012.
