'Gunther' launches FriendsFest
Friends actor James Michael Tyler, who played Gunther, has launched a London exhibition dedicated to the long-running sitcom.
Comedy Central's FriendsFest has already proved a hit with fans, with tickets selling out within minutes, and it will officially open in London's Brick Lane tomorrow.
It features a replica of Monica's Apartment, complete with rear window, where the pals would spy on the 'Ugly Naked Guy', the gold frame around the peephole and vintage French poster are also on display.
An exhibition of original props from the series, includes The White China Dog, Monica and Chandler's wedding invitations, The Geller cup, Ross' Science Boy magazine, Buffay the Vampire Layer video and Joey's scripts.
There is also a Central Perk-inspired cafe, Rachel's Hair Salon, an area to play foosball and a working replica fountain set against a New York backdrop, as featured in the opening credits.
Tyler said: 'It's amazing to think that Friends is still as popular today, as it was 21 years ago when we first started.
'Comedy Central's FriendsFest brings together some of the most iconic sets and props from the show and I'm certain fans will love. I feel extremely nostalgic being back in Monica's apartment and Central Perk.'
Comedy Central is screening every episode of Friends in chronological order, at 5pm on weekdays. And the 'interactive fan experience' will be in place for a week.
