Comedy Central UK hooks up with Undateable

...and Bob's Burgers

Comedy Central has bought the rights to American comedy series Undateable and Bob’s Burgers.

Undateable, executive produced Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence, follows 30-year old Danny Burton, played by comic Chris D’Elia, who is scared of relationships.

The show has just been renewed in the States for a third season that will comprise entirely live episodes, starting in October. Comedy Central UK bought the rights to these, plus the two previous runs.

The broadcaster also bought series three of Fox’s animated comedy Bob’s Burgers, set in a fast food joint and featuring the voices of H. Jon Benjamin, Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal.

It previously aired on E4 and has been renewed for a sixth series in the US, set to debut next month.

Comedy Central has also acquired all seven series of Malcolm in the Middle, which has previously run on Sky 1 and BBC Two in the UK.
