The BBC at Edinburgh
Most of the content will come from the BBC's Festivals venue at Potterrow, which opens next Friday.
BBC Scotland's head of programmes Donalda MacKinnon, said: 'The Edinburgh Festivals are always one of the highlights of my year and I'm delighted that the BBC plays its part in making it such a fantastic spectacle.'
Here are some of the highlights featuring comedians:
The One Show: Coming from the festival on Wednesday 12, Thursday 13 and Friday 14 August with Alex Jones, Matt Baker and on Friday, Patrick Kielty. After the BBC One show, at 7.30pm, the red-button service will air One Show Edinburgh Showcases, highlighting comedy at the Fringe.
BBC Breakfast: Coming from Potterow on August 21 with presenter Charlie Stayt.
Edinburgh Nights: Coverage from across the festivals on BBC Two on Friday nights with Kirsty Wark. Features include a look at the discovery of lost scripts from Hancock's Half Hour, unearthed by actor and book dealer Neil Pearson.
Sue Perkins' Big Night Out: An hour-long cabaret of comedy, music and spectacle to air 'as live' on Saturday August 29.
Simon Mayo's Drivetime The Radio 2 show will come from the festival from August 17 to 20, with guests including Bridget Christie, Ed Byrne and Marcus Brigstocke
Front Row: The Radio 4 arts show will be heavily featuring the festivals, including a live show in front of an audience at Potterrow on Monday August which you can watch online and tune in to that evening, as well as shows on Tuesday 17
Radio 4 comedy shows: There will be special episodes of Just A Minute with Nicholas Parsons and Paul Merton, Loose Ends, Dead Ringers with Jon Culshaw and Jan Ravens, Sketchorama (with Isy Suttie and Gein's Family Giftshop), Mitch Benn Has Left The Building and Comic Fringes (featuring Robert Florence, Dane Baptiste and Angela Barnes).

4 Extra Stands Up: Stand-up showcase with Fred MacAulay.
BBC Radio New Comedy Award: The first two heats will be staged at Potterrow on August 25 and 27. The first heat is hosted by Phil Ellis (Funz and Gamez) with guest judge Angela Barnes; the second heat is hosted by Susan Calman with guest judge Paul Sinha.
Shaun Keavenywill be broadcasting his 6 Music breakfast show live from Edinburgh from August 17 to 21, with guests including Jo Brand, Justin Moorhouse, Stewart Lee and Clive Anderson.
Kaye Adams: Fred MacAulay's replacement brings her new BBC Radio Scotland programme to Potterrow on Monday to Thursday mornings.
Breaking The News: Radio Scotland's new weekly comedy news panel game Breaking the News will be recorded at Potterrow in front of a live audience, with host Des Clarke.
BBC Asian Network's Big Comedy Night: Taking place at Potterrow on Sunday August 23 from 8.30pm to 10.30pm and hosted by Breakfast show presenter Tommy Sandhu. Extracts will air on Sandhu's breakfast show which comes live from the site on August 24; while further highlights will be available to view on the red button in the autumn.
Asian Network at the Edinburgh Fringe: Airing from 1-2pm on Sunday August 30, it will feature Imran Yusuf and Nish Kumar among the guests.
BBC Trending: The World Service show features presenter Mukul Devichand and a panel of comedians looking at the world of online comedy pranking.
Digital: The website bbc.co.uk/edinburghfestivals will offer live streams and individual films from the festival; and the BBC Arts website will live stream shows from Ed & Jason Byrne and Rory Bremner, among others.
Live: Non-broadcast shows at Potterrow include the BBC Presents… themed showcases, including BC Presents… The Next Big Thing with Katherine Ryan and BBC Presents… Matt Forde and his Political Pals. Edinburgh Exclusives will feature 'offstage' sessions including Ed Byrne and Jason Byrne In Conversation and Behind the Scenes of Just A Minute with Nicholas Parsons and Gyles Brandreth; and thee Bright Club, where stand-up, ad academic research meet.
