Ricky Gervais up for another Emmy
Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and John Oliver have been nominated for Emmy awards.
Gervias has been shortlisted for outstanding lead actor in a miniseries of movie for his role in Derek.
He tweeted: ‘O.M.Fucking.G! I just got nominated for another EMMY! Over the moon.’
Also shortlisted in the same category are Richard Jenkins for Olive Kitteridge; David Oyelowo for Nightingale; Adrien Brody for Houdini and Mark Rylance for Wolf Hall.
Gervais was nominated for an acting Emmy last year for the same role; and won in in 2007 for Extras, as well as being nominated again the following year for the same role as Andy Milman. He’s also picked up several nominations for The Office, the US version of which won outstanding comedy series in 2006.
The nominees for this year’s comedy series are: Louie Modern Family, Parks and Recreation, Silicon Valley, Transparent, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Veep.
Merchant could be taking home an Emmy as the feature-length closing episode of his HBO series Hello Ladies has been shortlisted for outstanding television movie.
Also nominated in that category are Agatha Christie’s Poirot; Bessie; Grace Of Monaco; Killing Jesus and Nightingale.
Up for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series are: Louis CK for Louie; Don Cheadle for House of Lies; Jeffrey Tambor for Transparent; Anthony Anderson for Black-ish; Will Forte for The Last Man on Earth and Matt LeBlanc for Episodes.
And shortlisted for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series are: Julia Louis-Dreyfus for Veep; Edie Falco for Nurse Jackie; Lisa Kudrow for The Comeback; Amy Poehler for Parks and Recreation; Amy Schumer for Inside Amy Schumer and Lily Tomlin for Grace and Frankie.
John Oliver is up for outstanding variety series for Last Week Tonight, where he’s up against The Colbert Report, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart; Jimmy Kimmel Live; The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
In the categories for outstanding supporting and guest actor and actress in a comedy series, the nominees are:

The nominations for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards have just been announced at the Pacific Design Centre, Los Angeles. Winners are unveiled on September 20, at a ceremony hosted by Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Cuckoo star Andy Samberg.
