CANADIAN comedian Rick Ducommun has died in Vancouver at the age of 62 from complications due to diabetes. He is most famous role was as Art Weingartner in The Burbs alongside Tom Hanks, while other credits include Spaceballs and Groundhog Day.

WEST END comedy The 39 Steps has announced that it will close at the Criterion Theatre in September. The Olivier Award-winning show has been on foe nine years, making it one of the longest running plays in West End history.

AMY SCHUMER is to open for Madonna at three shows in New York's Madison Square Garden and Barclays Centre. The comic tweeted: 'Guess who auditioned for @Madonna and got the part? See you in NYC on Sept 16, 17 and 19.' Madonna posted: 'I'm shaking w excitement that @AmySchumer is opening up for me in New York! I hope people will stay after & watch my show!!'
