Limmy goes on tour
LIMMY has announced a seven-night tour to mark the launch of his new book Daft Wee Stories, kicking off with three nights in Glasgow on July 30 and also visiting Aberdeen, Newcastle, Manchester and London. The anthology is out on July 30. (Preorder). Click here for his tour dates.
ITV's Vicious attracted 3.1million viewers when it returned last night – almost half the 5.9million who tuned in to the opening of series one 2013 and well down on the 5.3million the 9pm slot averages. On Channel 4, Greg Davies's Man Down returned with 1.1million viewers, down from the 1.5million who saw the opening of the first series by still up on the slot average, according to Barb data supplied by overnights.tv. On BBC Two, Episodes attracted 720,000 viewers at 9.30pm.
LEE MACK says the next Christmas episode of Not Going Out will be more filmic, rather than studio-based. Likening the special to the Only Fools and Horses festive offerings, he confessed on BBC Breakfast that he could reveal no more about the plot other than that it involved a gun – because he hadn't finished the script yet.
ENTRIES have opened for the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian Of 2015, open to acts who have been performing for less than five years. A COLLECTION of music hall and variety posters, spanning 150 years of entertainment has opened at the Morecambe Heritage Centre on the seafront of the Lancashire resort. The bills, featuring names such as Morecambe and Wise, Les Dawson, George Formby, Ken Dodd and Sir Bruce Forsyth, are the collection of fan Ken Bowe.
