JULIAN CLARY, Russell Kane, Milton Jones, Marcus Brigstocke and Rob Delaney are among the acts announced for this year's Ealing Comedy Festival, running in a marquee in a West London park from  July 17 to 24. Full line-ups.

ADAM RICHES is to star in a West End show alongside comedy veteran Peter Bowles. They both  appear in Stop!... The Play, which will run for four weeks at Trafalgar Studio 2 from June 2. The show is about a chaotic night of possibly the world's worst play – and follows the London success of The Play That Goes Wrong, which also started at Trafalgar Studios. Its playwright David Spicer has written for the likes of Jasper Carrott, Armstrong & Miller and Michael Barrymore.

SIR Donald Sinden, star of the ITV comedy Never The Twain, left £2.3 million in his will to be divided among his family, it has been revealed. He died aged 90 in September after battling prostate cancer.

IAN LAVENDER will perform an extract from Dad's Army at the VE Day 70 Party To Remember commemorations on Horse Guards Parade on Saturday. Alexander Armstrong will also read from Winston Churchill's memoirs at the event marking 70 years since VE day, which will be broadcast on the BBC.

HAVE I Got News for You was the most-watched TV show on Friday outside of the soaps. The edition hosted by Alexander Armstrong,  attracted an average audience of 4.07 million, or just under 20 per cent of the total audience.
