JON STEWART has revealed that his final Daily Show will air on Thursday, August 6. The comic announced in February he planned to step down after 16 years at the helm. Replacement Trevor Noah is expected to start in September.

A PLAQUE commemorating all the comedians who have died on stage at Manchester's Frog and Bucket is to be unveiled on May 11, to mark the club's 21st birthday. No names will be on the plaque, but it will honour all of 'the fallen' at the venue.

Nick Helm and Extras star Ashley Jensen have joined Susan Calman's Radio 4 sitcom Sisters. The show – the sitcom writing and acting debut for The News Quiz regular – is described as described as 'a classic odd couple comedy that tackles the painfully funny world of the love/hate relationship you can never escape' between two grown-up sisters. COMEDY CENTRAL has renewed Inside Amy Schumer for a fourth season. Its star made the announcement on The Late Show with David Letterman last night, as the third series starts in the US. In Britain, Comedy Central Extra is rerunning series 1 on Friday nights.

LONG-RUNNING American sitcom Full House is to be revived by Netflix. The on-demand video service has ordered 13 episodes of a sequel called Fuller House from original creator Jeff Franklin, to be available worldwide next year. The original show about a widow who enlists his best friend and his brother-in-law to raise his three daughters aired on ABC from 1987 to 1995, but was never screened in the UK. The new series will catch up with the characters as they are today.
