Taking The Stand
The Stand and Assembly Rooms have announced their line-ups for this year's Edinburgh Fringe.
Katherine Ryan, Simon Munnery, Stephen K Amos, Mark Watson and Paul Sinha are among the comics playing the Stand, which has expanded to seven spaces for 2015. The most it has previously had is five,
Meanwhile the Assembly Rooms Fringe, run by The Stand's owners Salt 'n' Sauce Promotions, will host Stewart Lee, Stewart Francis and Tom Stade this August, as well as the recently-announced Missing Hancocks starring Kevin McNally.
Also in The Stand are Alun Cochrane, Ivor Dembina, Steve Hall, Mitch Benn, Gavin Webster, Seymour Mace, Martin Mor, Jo Caulfield, Andrew Doyle, Michael J Dolan, Dana Alexander and Lee Lost Voice Guy, aka Lee Ridley.
The year-round club is also hosting Scottish comics Gary Little, Vladimir McTavish, Fern Brady, Chris Forbes, John Scott.
Meanwhile, the spoken word programme will include talks from Ricky Tomlinson, Jon Ronson and a month-long residency from Rodney Bewes, talking about his time on The Likely Lads.
More names are due to be released in May at both venues – but this tranche go on sale at 4pm today at thestand.co.uk and arfringe.com.
