Topical show from Revolution Will Be Televised duo

The pranksters behind The Revolution Will Be Televised are to front a new topical comedy show.

Jolyon Rubinstein and Heydon Prowse are hosting a one-off pilot of The Week That Wasn't later this month.

It is a collaboration with Mothers Best Child – the sketch comedy writers Daniel Clarke and Guy Davidson who are known for video manipulations like this:

It is not known which, if any, broadcaster is attached to the show yet,but Rubinstein and Prowse have traditionally work on BBC There. Last month, Rubinstei presented An Idiot's Guide to Politics for the channel.

Producers say: 'The Week That Wasn't is a topical comedy show that takes a totally new approach to what's happened during the week. It's the week's news delivered in a way that will mess with your mind, but weirdly make everything feel a little bit clearer at the same time. Because sometimes fiction is truer than fact, and on The Week That Wasn't it's hard to tell the difference.'

The episode is being filmed at the ITV London Studios on Saturday March 21. See our free tickets page if you want to be in the studio audience.
