CHANNEL 4's Comedy Gala is returning for a sixth year. The gig, organised by the Off The Kerb Agency in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, takes place at London\'s O2 on May 16. The line-up will include Aisling Bea, Alan Carr, Jack Dee, Jason Byrne, Jonathan Ross, Jon Richardson, Josh Widdicombe, Katherine Ryan, Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntyre, Paul Chowdhry, Rich Hall, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Sara Pascoe, Sean Lock, Seann Walsh, Shappi Khorsandi, Warwick Davis. Tickets go on sale on Friday.

TED HILL won last night's heat of the Chortle Student Comedy Award in Cambridge, where he is a third-year biological anthropology student. The next heat is in Leeds on Wednesday.

THE next series of ITVs Celebrity Squares will feature Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican, Frank Skinner, Sue Perkins, Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer, Julian Clary, Paddy McGuinness, Nina Conti, Rob Beckett, Aisling Bea, Milton Jones, Sara Pascoe, Joe Lycett and Katherine Ryan among the guests.

RUNNERS will be wearing Eric Morecambe-style glasses as they embark on a 3km challenge later this month. The fun run in his honour in the Lancashire resort of Morecambe will also mark the official return of the comedian's statue to the seafront after it was vandalised last year. It takes place on March 14, raising funds for Comic Relief.

THE BREATH BEFORE, a short charity film for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust featuring Frank Skinner has been nominated for 'best non-profit video' at the Do Gooder awards. It aired during the British Comedy Awards in December as part of a charity partnership. Watch it again and vote here.
