Fast Fringe 2014 line-up revealed
The line-up for Chortle's Fast Fringe showcase in London is announced today, as the Edinburgh Fringe programme is also launched.
Our event, at the Leicester Square Theatre on Sunday July 6, features 28 comedy and variety acts heading to the festival in August.
The show will be compered by Radio 4 star and News Quiz regular Susan Calman, a previous Chortle award winner for best compere.
Top stand-up names on the bill include Hebburn creator Jason Cook, How Not to Live Your Life star, Dan Clark, Bleak Expecations star Tom Allen, policeman-turned-comic Alfie Moore, and Lloyd Langford.
There will be time-travelling magic from Morgan & West – and of a very different kind from Tommy Cooper, aka tribute act John Hewer.
Cabaret performers Titty Bar Ha Ha, Kiss & Tell Cabaret and Quint Fontana will add some showbiz sparkle, while Jess Robinson and Rachel Parris provide music.
The bill also includes: Nish Kumar, Stuart Goldsmith, Markus Birdman, Jen Brister, Spencer Brown, Ivor Dembina, Rhys James, Harriet Kelmsley, Mark Restuccia, Tom Toal, Miss Behave, David Elms, Fin Taylor, Alex Edelman, Charlie O'Connor, Thunderbards.
