LIVE IN GLASGOW: A very unusual night at The Stand for Scottish Refugee Week. Hosted by Kevin Bridges, Wasasa Comedy Night features a range of comics from diverse backgrounds discussing their roots and life in Glasgow. The bill includes Viv Gee, Kalonde Kasengele, Katai Kasengele, Wayne Mazadza, Sean Reid and Nico Ndlovu. And it’s raising money for HIV charity Waverley Care.

LIVE IN LONDON: American comic Reggie Watts is to play a one-off gig in his usual at London's Royal Festival Hall tonight as part of the Meltdown Festival. Expect more of his freeform, stream-of-consciousness mix of music and comedy from the various voices in his head, feed through a loop pedal for a unique comic soundscape.. LIVE IN LONDON: Who can charge £25 for a new material night? Russell Brand, that’s who. See him up-close and intimate (assuming it hasn’t already sold out) at the Soho Theatre tonight and tomorrow; and again on June 24.
LIVE IN LONDON: Sarcastic San Francisco smartypants Greg Proops records his Smartest Man In The World podcast, again at the Soho Theatre, tonight before embarking on a four-night run of his own stand-up at the same venue.
RADIO: Lucy Beaumont won last year’s BBC New Comedy Award... and part of her prize was to develop a show for the radio. To Hull And Back is that show – in which the stand-up returns to her hometown of Hull with Johnny Vegas and tribute band The Kings Of Lyon. Radio 4, 11pm.
Thursday June 20
LIVE IN LONDON: There’s a benefit for Josie Long’s charity Arts Emergency, which aims to make it easier for anyone to study an arts or humanities degree, at Hackney Empire tonight. Among the comics are Mark Watson, Robin Ince, Tim Key and Kevin Eldon, but the gig aims to mix genres, and even promises something special from artists Jake and Dinos Chapman.
LIVE IN LONDON: Flighty and high-energy Australian comic Felicity Ward presents an honest – and often stupid – look at her personal failings in the solo show The Hedgehog Dilemma, which runs until Saturday. Check out our review here
Friday June 21
TV: It’s the last episode in series eight of Futurama, and the team have got creative for a trio of tales presented in different animation styles: from early Steamboat Willie style black-and-white cartoons, old-school videogame and flashy Japanese anime. Sky 1, 7.30pm
LIVE IN LONDON: TIme Out Introduces... a good range of the next generation of acts, including Pat Cahill, Lucy Beaumont and Adam Hess, in a late-night showcase at the Udderbelly on the South Bank.
