Adam Hills wins C4's only BPG award

Breakthrough star of 2012

Adam Hills has won Channel 4’s only accolade at today’s Brodacasting Press Guild Awards.

The comic won the breakthrough award for his work on The Last Leg, which was this week commissioned for a new series.

The prizes, voted on by journalists who write about TV and radio, were dominated by the BBC, with period drama Parade’s End scooping four awards.

And in the comedy/entertainment category, BBC Two’s Olympic sitcom Twenty Twelve took the honours.
