Paul Chowdhry is best stand-up

And Keith Lemon is the funniest film, according to the Laftas

Paul Chowdhry has been named best stand-up in this year’s Loaded Lafta awards.

A separate category for best male comedian was won by Harry Hill and best female went to Morgana Robinson.

And Keith Lemon walked away with two awards: Celebrity Juice won best panel show and Keith Lemon The Movie won funniest film.

For a bit more credibility, Nick Helm won best newcomer.

As usual, the awards put celebrities on a par with professional comics; with X Factor’s Rylan Clark and Gary Barlow winning best double act and Danny Dyer funniest tweeter.

Al Murray was named this year's Loaded Lafta comedy legend. The lads’ mag’s editor, Ian Edmondson said: ‘It's because of people like Al Murray that we once ruled the world. I also salute the rest of our winners, great, talented people who really are the reason why the world laughs at us.’
