Dom Joly's hidden camera show recommissioned

Dom Joly’s hidden camera show Fool Britannia is to return for a second series.

ITV has ordered another six half-hour episodes of the prank show, to go out later this year.

Joly broke the news that he was working on new ideas for the show on Twitter, telling his 160,000 followers: ‘V excited re series 2 Fool Britannia – view series one as pilot…’

And Siobhan Greene, of production house ITV Studios, told trade magazine broadcast: ‘Dom and the team are full of new characters and ideas, and we are so looking forward to building on what was done on the first series.’

The first series of eight episodes averaged 2.7million viewers in a 7pm Saturday night slot last autumn.
