Comic Peter makes £4mliion

Peter Kay made almost £4million last year through his business.

The figure amounts to more than £10,000 a day... though seems relatively modest considering he had the biggest tour and the biggest selling DVD of the year.

But he’s far from living on the garlic breadline as his two companies, Good Night Vienna Productions — which he co-owns with his wife — and Hussein Traders, have almost £21million in the bank.

Last year, he had three companies worth more than £17million, but after closing one down, the value of his remaining two rose by £3.75million.

The figures relate to the 12 months up to March, which are revealed in documents lodged at Companies House this month.

The Sun, which reported the figures, say they make him Britain’s most successful comedian – but offered no other comic’s earnings for comparison.
