Alfie Moore leaves Show Me The Funny

Policeman Alfie Moore has become the latest comic to be voted off Show Me The Funny.

He was ejected following performance in front of a Welsh rugby club, after which judges criticised his lack of confidence.

Alan Davies said: ‘I imagine you arresting someone without no hesitation about dominating that situation, about having authority, about laying down – literally – the law and yet you come here and you’re not sure, still, after five weeks.’

And guest Johnny Vegas added: ‘It’s like you’d had a death threat but the person could only afford one stick of dynamite and you couldn’t work out where it was planted under the stage. You were walking around like any minute now could be the end.

After his ejection, Moore tweeted: ‘It’s obviously disappointing, but you have to philosophical.

And last night, he tweeted: ‘Show’s over for me guys, thank you for brill support and good luck to the famous five.’

Dane Mitchell also had a tough gig, and was in the final two for ejection, where Vegas told him to ‘pull your boots up’

Still in the show are Dan Mitchell, Tiffany Stevenson, Stuart Goldsmith, Ellie Taylor and Patrick Monahan. There is one more pre-recorded episode before the live final at the Hammersmith Apollo on August 25.

Up for grab is £100,000, a DVD deal, and the chance to headline a nationwide comedy tour.
