• Jim Davidson says he likes dressing up as a Nazi. In a newspaper interview of trivial Q&As, the right-wing comic was asked: ‘What’s your favourite party outfit?’ ‘SS Storm Trooper,’ he replied. Prince Harry would be proud.

• Meanwhile, Davidson has moved back to the UK from Dubai after four years as a tax exile, buying a two-bedroom cottage in Romsey, Hampshire, with his fifth wife. They come over here, taking our property...

• Keith Lemon – aka Leigh Francis – has sold a lock of his hair to X Factor star Olly Muirs for £1,100. The Celebrity Juice star held an eBay auction for the strange memento, saying: ‘If you've ever wanted to feel what it's like to run your fingers through my hair, you had best get bidding.’ After Muirs made his winning offer, Lemon said: ‘I don't know what lucky old Olly is going to do with it - maybe keep it in a jar in his living room. I was only expecting 20 quid for my hair, so £1,100 is a triumph.’

• Jon Richardson gets laughs from obsessive-compulsive tendencies – but it can lead to distractions onstage. He recalls: ‘I did a gig recently with a tiled stage. I was acutely aware of when I’d stepped on one line with my left foot and not my right. The second half was spent taking measured steps while trying to look nonchalant and it quickly became apparent what I was doing. It adds to the mirth for the audience but I’d hate people to think I was doing it for comic effect.’
