E4 buys second Demetri Martin series

E4 has snapped up the second series of American comedy Important Things With Demetri Martin.

The digital channel has previously aired the first series, attracting an average audience of 52,000. E4 brought the rights to the ten-part second series, mixing stand-up, sketches, music and animation, and the Mipcom TV festival in Monte-Carlo.

The series has already aired on Comedy Central in the US.

Martin – who won the Perrier award in 2003 – is the ‘senior youth correspondent’ on The Daily Show, has starred in the film Taking Woodstock and appeared in Flight of the Conchords.
