C4 snaps up Trinny & Susannah comedy

Commission from web series

An internet mockumentary about fashion stylists Trinny and Susannah has been snapped up by Channel 4.

The network has ordered a one-off comedy based on the hit web series Trinny and Susannah: What They Did Next, which will air at the end of September.

Sixteen, six-minute web episodes were released earlier this summer. A mixture of scripted and improvised scenes, the spoof was modelled on Curb Your Enthusiasm and charted their supposed attempts to get back on to TV.

The couple have genuinely not had a TV show since ITV chose not to recommission their makeover programme last year.

The web episodes featured a host of comic talent, including Katy Wix as their put-upon personal assistant, Matt Crosby as their naïve agent and Spencer Brown as their reluctant protege. They also featured cameos from Lulu, Vanessa Feltz and Neil Fox
