Club chain's massive discounts

The Highlight chain of comedy clubs is selling tickets to its shows for just 1p.

The deal applies to all shows between now and the Christmas party season at the end of November.

It is an incredible mark-down for seats that usually cost around £15.

The company says the unprecedented promotion is ‘to celebrate the best of stand-up during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival without having to travel to Scotland.’

Highlight was formed following the collapse of Regent Inns, which owned the Jongleurs club last year. The company went into pre-pack administration, which wiped out its debts, before the management team reopened the clubs as Highlight.
