Rob Brydon is set to front his own comedy entertainment show for BBC Two, following a successful pilot last last year.

The Rob Brydon Show will feature mix of stand-up from Brydon and a guest comedian, plus musical guests who will accompany him in a song.

He said: ‘I don't think I've ever been this excited before.’

BBC Two controller Janice Hadlow, said Brydon was ‘smart, funny and with his own distinctive style’.

The series – made by Brydon’s production company Arbie – will air later this year.
