Victoria to record festive special

Victoria Wood is to make a one-off Christmas special, the BBC has confirmed.

The hour-long BBC One show, tentatively titled Victoria Wood's Mid Life Christmas, aims to compress ‘a whole night's viewing into one hour’.

The BBC Comedy Blog says the show will feature highlights from The Mid-Life Olympics 2009, spoof costume drama Lark Pies to Cranchesterford, and the further adventures of Acorn Antiques star Bo Beaumont, as played by Julie Walters.

Accompanying the series will be an extra 45-minute show including some behind-the-scenes footage and additional unseen material.
