Clue team hit the road again

...with Jack Dee filling Humph's boots

I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue is to embark on a nationwide theatre tour – with Jack Dee as chairman.

Dee is one of three hosts – with Stephen Fry and Rob Brydon – to take over the long-running series when it returns to Radio 4 on Monday for the first time since Humphrey Lyttelton died last year.

He will be joined by regular panellists Tim Brooke-Taylor, Barry Cryer, Graeme Garden and Jeremy Hardy for the 19-date tour, which kicks off in Dartford on July 22.

The team went on tour for the first time in 2007 – after the BBC finally came to an agreement about letting the team use the Clue name commercially. Lyttelton fell ill towards the end of last year’s tour, before he died at the age if 86.

Garden said: ‘We agreed to take a year out and let us all get over [his death] in our own ways.’
