Radio first for Skinner
Frank Skinner is to present his first radio show, after signing a deal with Absolute Radio.
He will host the Saturday morning show on the rock station – formerly Virgin Radio – starting this weekend.
Absolute Radio chief Clive Dickens, said: ‘He is bloody funny and tells great stories and that is what you should expect from his Saturday show. I can see the enthusiasm with which he has approached it - radio is a medium that Frank very much wants to conquer.
’Frank is learning to drive the desk and he will very much be the anchor of the show.’
The show – which will run for three months – will be produced by Avalon Television, the production arm of the agency which manages Skinner. This will be the first time an Absolute show has been made by an outside company.
The show, which runs from 8am to 10am, will be co-hosted by radio newcomer Emily Dean.
