The big draw
Plans for both a Simpsons movie sequel and a feature-length Family Guy have been revealed - but both could take years to hit cinemas.
Simpsons creator Matt Groening said: ‘It will happen at some point, but I have no idea when. The first one took us four years - mainly because we don't like to work any harder than we usually do.’
‘It's going to be a while, but we’ll get to it, I’m sure.’
Meanwhile, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has confirmed work on a big-screen version of his show, too.
‘We do want to do it and we will do it at some point. It’s just time,’ he told America’s TV Week magazine
‘In the past six months started talking seriously about it. So my hope is that we’ll get going in the next year. Doing the show is a seven-day-a-week process and finding the time to squeeze in a movie is… I don’t know how we’re gonna do it but we’ll figure it out.’
The first Simpsons film took $500 million at the box office worldwide.
