C4 orders series 6 of Peep Show

Channel 4 has confirmed that Peep Show will return for a sixth series.

The show recently won the best sitcom Bafta award, and has been slowly gathering viewers. The first two episodes of the latest series have averaged 1.5 million viewers, against a series four average of 1.28 million.

Writers Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain and stars David Mitchell and Robert Webb are on board for the new series, which will continue ot be made by Objective Productions.

Armstrong recently said the sitcom format was ‘naturally designed’ to run forever: ‘The characters never change, so it seems odd that there's a thing where you stop after a couple of series.’
