Still standing...
The duo will be living in the Big Brother-style house on the NBC programme that pitches stand-ups against each other, with one act being voted out every week.
Producers flew out a generous handful of British comedians to audition in Miami in February. However, not all who succeeded there have made it through to the final stages.
Papa CJ, an Indian comedian mostly based in Britain, also made it through to the finals from that group, following the semi-finals in Las Vegas at the weekend.
However Stephen K Amos, Shazia Mirza and Kojo - who all went through from the Miami heat – will not be going into the house.
Among the 12 acts who have made it through, according to US website Shecky, is Canadian Sean Cullen – once part of the musical comedy act Corky And The Juice Pigs alongside British-based Phil Nichol, before going on to star in the Toronto stage version of The Producers.
Another final act is God’s Pottery, a spoof Christian duo who have appeared at the last two Edinburgh Fringes with shows based around their evangelical songs.
The rest of the line-up is reportedly: Adam Hunter, Jeff Dye, Ron G, Iliza Shlesinger, Marcus, Esther Ku and Louis Ramey.
Shecky says it is ‘fairly confident’ it has the correct line-up, but NBC traditionally does not comment on the competition for fear of spoiling it for viewers.
Last year, the final ten included UK acts Gina Yashere and Matt Kirshen, who both boosted their US profile following their appearance on the show.
