Chortle's last student finalist named
Mickey Anderson has made it to the finals of Chortle’s hunt for the best student comedian in Britain, after receiving the most votes from readers.The 22-year-old had performed in the Southampton heat, where he is studying English and film.
Around 4,000 votes were cast by comedy fans who viewed on clips of all the competitors posted online
Anderson says his style is ‘often self-derogatory and deconstructive, crude but lighthearted’.
He joins the 12 winners of each of the heats at the final of the Revels Student Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Fringe on August 14.
