All about 'Eve'
The series, which has the working title Adam and Eve, is described as a ‘love story that never happens’.
It concerns a boss and his PA, who are long-term friends but never get together.
Moffat told actors’ newspaper The Stage: ‘You have two people who are made for each other but can’t possibly be together.
‘ It sounds very sombre but hopefully it is funny and interesting.’
The show has not yet been commissioned by the BBC, but Moffat said: ‘I am loving writing it. I have got some hopes for this one.’
The show is being made by Hartswood Films, the independent production house run by his mother-in-law, Beryl Vertue. The company also made Coupling and the forthcoming BBC1 series Jekyll, which Moffatt also wrote.
His other credits include Press Gang, Joking Apart, and last Saturday’s episode of Doctor Who.
