More Pulling power

Second series for BBC Three comedy

The BBC has ordered a second series of Sharon Horgan comedy Pulling.

The show – about woman who ditches her fiancé on the eve of her wedding and her drunken, desperate friends – was a critical, if not a ratings, hit when it debuted on BBC Three last year.

The channel has now ordered a second run, with a strong likelihood that the first six-part series will transfer to BBC Two.

‘'I would like [that],’ said Irish-born star Horgan, who co-wrote the show with Dennis Kelly. ‘Because people in Ireland don't really have BBC Three.’

‘I want people in Ireland to see it. I want people that I was at school with to see me on the telly,’ she told The Observer.

Meanwhile, Horgan is currently filming a second series of the Rob Brydon comedy Annually Retentive, also for BBC Three.
