So 'chute me

Danny attempts swear-free skydive

Stand-up Danny James is to attempt a charity skydive - without uttering a single swear word as he plummets through the sky.

The comic says he's petrified of the jump - which he hopes will help raise £10,000 - but has been challenged to do it without uttering a single expletive.

He said: "Anyone who has ever seen me on stage knows how difficult that will be for me. And if anyone has any alternative swear words, I'll gladly take them on board."

He's taking part in the tandem skydive in Weston in Oxfordshire on June 11 to raise cash for the Darby and Joan pensioners' club in Streatham, south London

Danny said: "I worked with them as a manager for a few years, before I got fully into comedy."

The club, which is 60 years old, is now struggling to survive after a series of break-ins and other drains on its limited finances.
