For Pete's sake...
Jimmy Carr has been added to the bill of the Peter Cook tribute tomorrow.
The Perrier nominee will join the likes of Terry Jones, Michael Palin, Ade Edmondson, Rick Mayall, Griff Rhys Jones and Harry Enfield in the Posthumourous Tribute in London's West End.
The £75-a-head show at the Prince Of Wales Theatre will be filmed by BBC2 for broadcast over Christmas.
It will be hosted by Sir David Frost - a man Cook was known to dislike, famously calling him 'the bubonic plagiarist' - and others on the bill include Vic Reeves, Dom Joly and Mel Smith.
Meanwhile, Carr, left, has also landed a slot on Conan O'Brien's late-night talk show in the States. He will be appearing on the NBC show in a fortnight.
Before that, he will perform his Edinburgh show Bare-Faced Ambition, as part of the Perrier Pick Of The Fringe Season at Her Majesty's Theatre, London, on Sunday October 13.
A Perrier spokesman said: "This is the only opportunity to see his show as Jimmy is incredibly busy at the moment, with a lot of interest from the US, as he is the archetypal English chap."
