Comic is also undertaking a 300-mile cycle challenge for Children In Need

Paddy McGuinness is to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story this week.

The bawdy comic takes to the yellow chair to read The Stompysaurus by Rachel Bright and Chris Chatterton, a reassuring tale about coping with overwhelming feelings and frustration.

It airs this week as he undertakes a 300-mile cycle challenge from Wrexham in Wales to Glasgow for Children in Need. He will be calling into Radio 2 shows with regular updates throughout each day this week to chart his progress.McGuinness  said: ‘What an honour to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story, it’s magical to share a story together. I hope little ones enjoy snuggling up with their grown-ups and watching it together.

‘The book I’m reading, The Stompysaurus, is all about trying to slow down and relax when you’re feeling overwhelmed. Though for me, it’s going to be more about channelling my energy as I take on Radio 2’s huge cycling challenge.

McGuinness has a weekly show on Radio 2  every Sunday from 11am to 1pm and his bedtime story will air at 6.50pm on Friday  on  CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.
